Epiphany - "light bulb" Well I have finally discovered that I have an epiphany almost everyday! Even the most insignificant things that I do everyday result in an epiphany. For example, I just realized that spring break is only a month away! I realized that I get to journey to Nevada to see my parents. Like the Trojans, I get to take on the battle of staying focused for eight hours on the road. VERY EXCITING! I may not be fighting a war to change the world, I am fighting a battle of overcoming my fear of driving long, lonely trips to a different state!
Muses: figures of inspiration. Although I don't particularly ask Calliope, Euterpe, Clio, Erato, Melpomene, Polyhymnia, Terpsichore, Thalia, or Urania for inspiration, here are a few people who I look up to for inspiration. (Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muses)
Cupid for love.
The thousands of legendary dancers in this world that entertain with passion, and share the same passion for dance that I do.
Of course my family and my friends who inspire me to love life. They inspire me to do my best at everything I do, and love everything in my life. There are many many more of my personal muses', but I would have to write a novel to tell them all! :)
-Mnemosyne: "memory" Mother of 9 muses
Epic - Homer (Odyssey and The Iliad) and Virgil (Aeneid)
(Is it kinda funny that when googled "Homer", this is the first picture that came up? HAHA)
No, but seriously! Presenting HOMER!
And Virgil's Aeneid!
Drama- a very short and quite focused; Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides, and Aristophanes.
~Theogony: literature of the birth of the gods.
Could the story of Demeter and Persephone be a "biology metaphor"? Wow! What a question, I will have to get back to you on that one!
